MTV Video Music Awards 2017- Os Nomeados


Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd e Katy Perry lideram a corrida aos VMAs deste ano. O virtuoso de Compton segue na frente com um total de 8 nomeações angariadas pelo vídeo de "Humble" (em categorias como Video of the Year, Artist of the Year ou Best Hip Hop Video), enquanto The Weeknd e Katy Perry coleccionam 5 distinções cada.

Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled e Alessia Cara recolhem nomeações em quatro categorias, Ed Sheeran colecciona três menções, enquanto Ariana Grande, Lorde, Fifth Harmony, Harry Styles e The Chainsmokers são reconhecidos em duas categorias. 

A grande novidade na edição de 2017 prende-se na abolição das categorias de género e na criação de uma mais abrangente unissexo. A consciência social continua a ser uma bandeira do canal de música com a categoria Best Fight Against the System, que inclui vídeos cujo foco se propaga por questões raciais, de imigração ou ambientais. 

A 34ª edição dos MTV Video Music Awards decorre a 27 de Agosto no The Forum em Inglewood, Califórnia, estando o apresentador e performers da cerimónia ainda por desvendar.
