Grammy Awards 2019: Os Nomeados

Foram anunciados na passada sexta os nomeados da 61ª edição dos Grammys, com Kendrick Lamar, Drake e Brandi Carlile a assegurar os três lugares do pódio. O rapper de Compton volta a liderar a corrida aos gramofones dourados (8 nomeações) muito por culpa do seu trabalho na banda-sonora de Black Panther, que conquista inclusivé uma distinção para Álbum do Ano. Já Drake (7 nomeações) colhe os frutos de mais um ano de sucesso esmagador, obtendo nomeações em três das principais categorias e no filão rap. A surpresa será talvez o reconhecimento da Recording Academy para com a obra de Brandi Carlile, que conquista as suas primeiras seis nomeações aos Grammys com "The Joke" e o álbum By The Way, I Forgive You, o sexto do seu percurso.

Logo atrás com cinco nomeações surgem nomes como o de Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Lady Gaga, Maren Morris ou a estreante H.E.R. Já Kacey Musgraves, Post Malone ou SZA obtêm quatro distinções, enquanto The Carters, Chris Stapleton, Travis Scott ou Zedd coleccionam três. Mais contidas foram as distribuições às pop girls: Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello e Taylor Swift vêem-se relegadas para - precisamente - a categoria pop, onde disputam apenas duas categorias, mesmo com o alargamento de cinco para oito nomeados nas ditas big four.
